The collections, which consist of about 88,000 numbered objects (lithics and fauna) and several hundred bags of small finds, were stored in two locations in the Université de Bordeaux I, in Talence, France. The material that was analyzed by Bordes was located in the Institute du Quaternaire and organized by layer and typological class. The rest of the material, consisting of material that was previously washed and labeled and that which had never been processed was housed separately in an annex. Since this study all of the material was moved to the National museum in Les Eyzies, France.
